How do I measure my dog for a harness?
Measure the circumference of your dog's chest at its widest point (just behind the front legs), and the lower neck. Compare those measurements to our sizing chart. If you're not sure on sizing just send us a photo of your dog along with their measurements and we'll help you get the perfect fit.
Why is a Y-shaped harness better than a strap harness?
Strap harnesses (the H-shape across the chest) put pressure on the front of your dog's shoulders, restricting natural movement. Y-shaped harnesses sit lower on the chest, leaving the shoulders free and distributing pressure evenly across the sternum. No rubbing, no movement restriction, and no risk to the airway when your dog pulls.
Will this stop my dog pulling on the lead?
The front-clip attachment point on our harnesses gently redirects your dog when they pull, making it harder for them to surge forward. Combined with consistent training, most owners see real progress within a few weeks. For dogs with established pulling habits, pair the harness with a short lead and reward-based training for best results.
Is the harness machine washable?
We recommend hand washing only with warm water and a small amount of dog-safe shampoo if required. Avoid bleach, tumble dryers, or irons. Hang to dry in a well-ventilated space.
What if it doesn't fit when it arrives?
We offer 14-day returns on all unworn harnesses. Just contact us and we'll arrange an exchange. Please note we do not offer free returns. For the perfect fit why not use our free sizing service when you order!

I bought this for my reactive dog, we opted for the climbing rope lead as we wanted something strong. I like that it comes with the handle on top which makes it easy to control him when he becomes reactive around another dog or person. I feel confident that this harness will hold up well. Would highly recommend.

I am a hardcore Ruffwear fan, so this harness had a lot to live up to and honestly I can't fault it! I have it in 3 colours and they are all great, they wash well, all the clips and all the attachments are still intact 9months down the line. I highly recommend Pawshtails harnesses.

Well made harness! Padded, sturdy, easy to put on and adjust with quick-release clips to slide the harness over her head and two solid D-ring locations to clip to - one on the top between the shoulder blades and one on the bottom on is chest.

Harness is comfortable for the dog and stress free for us. The lead is also comfortable on our hands.
I have this harness in black, khaki and pink and I absolutley love every single one. The only think I would say is the labels on the buckles have come off but its no biggie as they haven't left a mark. Nice to have them in photos to show off the brand but otherwise they are perfect.

I love this Pawshtails Harness, it's fully adjustable and will grow with my pup. I have tried loads of others that just didn't cut it, my pup has escaped a few of the others but not this one so I feel a lot happier walking her.
